Starting on Thursday, October 1, 2020*, Transamerica Premier Life Insurance Company (TPLIC) will merge with and into Transamerica Life Insurance Company (TLIC). Be assured, the effect of the merger to policyholders is minimal. All client benefits, as well as policy and certificate features (including the policy numbers), stay the same. You and your clients can continue to contact us at the same telephone number and address.
It’s possible your clients will receive correspondence over the next few months that still refers to TPLIC. We’ll update our letters, applications, and the eApp platform over the coming months. Policyholders will receive a notification in the mail as their state approves the merger’s filed documents.
We’re taking care of any licensing and appointment needs, so there’s nothing you need to do. Agents who are not currently appointed under TLIC will be appointed ahead of the transition.
